Fuel Line Gland Nut.
Why invest lots of money in a pre-formed fuel line that doesn’t fit, and needs to be reformed? Just to find that it has been kinked in the reform process. Use our Fuel Line Gland Nut to build your own custom fuel line to fit exactly the way you want it!
By "sweating" a soft grade copper tubing into the pre fit Gland nut ends you will achieve a much better fit, and look as the unpainted copper tubing will give your restoration a more highly detailed finish.
Installation secrets:
-
First clean the copper tubing end with an fine abrasive or wire brush.
-
Install the nut over the copper tubing with the threads facing the end of the tube.
-
Apply a small amount of solder paste to the outside of the copper tube, and slip the gland fitting onto the tubing.
-
Heat the tubing and gland fitting just enough to melt the solder. The solder will be drawn into the crevice between the tubing and gland fitting.
-
STOP heating, wait 3 to 4 seconds and wipe fitting with a mildly damp rag.
